I am a Licensed Massage Therapist trained by Alaska Career College and The Center for Barefoot Massage. I have a BA degree with an emphasis in Psychology and a certificate in nonprofit management from University of Alaska. Prior to massage school, I worked in human services in a variety of positions varying from substance abuse counseling to child forensic interviewing. I have extensive training and experience in working with trauma survivors and have observed and been intrigued by the connection between chronic pain and trauma. It is my belief that healing begins with self-care and true self care is admitting we need each other. The power of touch is transformational.
I appreciate the beauty and gifts offered by nature and I am known to wander off into the Alaska wilderness whenever I get the chance. The greatest joy for the AK Sole is a bite of wild blueberry jam in mid-February when its grey and dreary and we’ve forgotten what summer tastes like.
